Almost forgot to link the page!

I found this site to be rather confusing… I had a hard time following the flow of information when I first laid eyes on it. I was like… where do I start? I wanted to click the dreadlocks… dreadlocks are cool right? Nah, I think I should click Overview anyways… Ok what have I here? The image in the middle says something about taxonomy… I don’t really understand what stuffed animals has to do with website design, but ok, I’m easy. Oh maybe he’s talking about categorization of some kind. Ah five elements in design. Like Fire Water Earth Air and Spirit…. I see well it has something to do with Media, Action, Relationship, Context, and Communication. I don’t get the whole relationship and context, so I’ve got to look at those two… Oh I see… well I suppose It has to do with one’s options when looking at media and the choices you make. Can one go forward or can’t one? I don’t know! Ah, when I roll over OPEN a bunch of elements of that also appear. Like nonlinear storytelling, and customization. I guess that means that OPEN represents open storytelling techniques, like the sims (addictive!) or GTA. Closed must have to do with closed storytelling techniques, like novels or movies. Well that’s all I have time to write about. GTG!

Brown HTML

I’ve been hearing a lot about color lately, partly from Typographhy and partly from this class here. Pantone, Spot, Monochrome, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Klack (I mean black!), Red, Green, Blue, Addative, Subtractive, Multiplicative…. Um…. Right….

Anyways, it has always puzzled me… how do you make brown? I mean, its not a part of any of the secondary color schemes. It doesn’t seem to exist on any of the color wheels I’ve ever seen. It’s nigh impossible to find on the dang RGB palletes on the monitor. What’s the dilly yo?

Maybe brown is a kind of mixture color that can’t be represented in a single pixel? I don’t know…. You can find it by mixing a bunch of subtractive colors together, but what about addatives? This looks like a job for the INTERWEB!!! I’ll be right back with something.

I've broken another one

Yet another of my computers is now infected with a rather malicious piece of adware. This is the best I could do, I was up all night trying to fix the stupid machine. Thank goodness for FireFox.

Here's what I came up with for today. Why change a good thing?

Interactive Narratives, Take 2

Here’s my second rendition of Interactive Narratives… little did I know I would be coming back to the subject so soon. I propose another in a series of open ended websites, exploring the possibilities of different types of websites. If the space at QU is not enough I will transfer these to my own paid webspace. This week I want to TRY and build a base for my webcomic, let’s hope that it works.
